Advisory

This committee meets monthly and its primary goal is to review BOD propositions and actions for additional scrutiny and to make recommendations to the board that may help improve outcomes for the community. This committee serves as additional advisors for the BOD and will serve as another set of eyes on specific projects.

Architectural Review

Architectural Review

This committee meets weekly or bi-weekly each month according to need for submitted requests. The committee will approve or ask for modifications to be made to plans that comply with the lot’s DCCR’s. Applications include home modifications, as well as pool, fence, landscape, shutters, paint or any other change to the outside of a residence.

Audit

Audit

This committee meets at least once per month and is responsible for reviewing financial statements and other official financial information provided to the public, oversees the internal controls including management’s compliance with applicable P&P. This committee helps to ensure proper financial practices are being utilized.

Beautification

Beautification

This committee meets at least once per month. They are responsible for making recommendations for any needs with regard to plantings, neighborhood entrance signage and any common area(s) that may need to be addressed (and/or decorated for holidays) to maintain a pleasing appearance that will increase all property values.

Finance

This committee meets monthly and oversees the preparation of the annual budget and financial statements, ensures that budgets and interim financial statements are prepared, advises the board with respect to making significant financial decisions such as correcting or restructuring the organization’s books and accounting procedures if fiscal problems arise, etc.

Hospitality

The “Friendly” Committee.  Typically meets once per month to review recent move ins and plan visit with welcome basket consisting of homemade treats/gifts, donated promo items from local businesses and valuable local contact information for new homeowners to make them feel welcome and help them get involved in the community.

Long Range Planning

As the name implies, this committee meets quarterly to discuss projects requested by the various committees. The Long Range Planning Committee works closely with the Budget and Finance Committee to establish budget and prioritize planned projects. The scope and goals of the projects vary according to the priorities and needs of the community.

Safety and Security

Safety and Security

This committee consists of several people from various streets within Oak Run whose main goal is to be a sort of neighborhood patrol to help report instances/occurrences that affect the safety and security of the community. The committee will meet monthly and make recommendations to the BOD to help keep our community safer.

Rules and Regulations

Rules and Regulations

As the name indicates, this Committee reviews current rules and makes recommendations for revisions. Since the POA rules and regulations are in need of amending, consolidating and restating, as well as a POA guidelines handbook created, the Committee will be very active. Meetings will be held monthly or bi-monthly. The purpose of the rules are to foster a strong community.

Special Events

The “Fun” Committee.  Typically meets once per month; however, just prior to any event, meetings may be held more frequently to ensure the event runs smoothly. This committee is responsible for planning events, managing the budget and running one community event per quarter. There are a variety of event options depending on the desires of the committee.
